Music Therapy
Music Therapy is an evidence based practice in which music is used to address non-musical goals such as: 1) Cognition; 2) Motor Functioning; 3) Social-Emotional Skills; 4) Behavior; 5) Academics; 6) Communication; 7) Varying Medical Needs (Respiration, Anxiety, Pain); 8) Sensory Needs; 9) Spirituality; AND much more!

Music Therapy is provided for infants-adults in a variety of settings including, hospitals, hospice, schools, nursing homes, after-school programs, psychiatric facilities, and in home.

Music Therapy can be provided in both group and 1:1 settings. Treatment interventions include singing, instrument play, song-writing, moving to music, lyric analysis, song-related discussion, and relaxation.

The Music Therapy treatment process includes:
1) Assessment session(s)
2) Development of a treatment plan (goals may be developed from IEP or other reasons for referral)
3) Documented data to show quantifiable evidence of progress

Music Enrichment
Music Enrichment classes are provided in schools, libraries, day-cares, and a variety of other settings. Music enrichment involves singing, instrument playing, and moving to music to support age-appropriate growth through music!

Music Lessons (Piano, Voice, & Acoustic Guitar)
Traditional and adaptive music lessons are provided once-a-week in MT-BC, Hannah Gonzalez's home. General music skills, technique, and theory are all addressed. A holistic approach is utlized in which, music is taught in a way that is best for each student’s learning style. For ages 4 -Up.
